Our Building
- The QHQ building was built in 1940 for Vickers Armstrong
- It was used as a Spitfire factory during World War II when the factories on the south coast were bombed
- There are still air raid shelters in the grounds beneath the surface
- After Vickers Armstrong left it became a shared site. One side was used by the Post Officeand the other by the Ministry of Transport.
- Quantel moved to this site in 1982
- The building has 126,000 sq ft of space, most of which is air conditioned. The building is located in a 6.7 acre site
- The building uses over 600 miles of cable
- Our electricity bill is £210,000 per year and our gas bill is £37,000 per year
